Hi, hello! Wow, ain’t 2020 something! I’m reporting to you safely from my couch in the comfort of my home, as cases of COVID-19 continue to surge all across our country and the world. You may be landing here because you’ve received masks from me, and I want to extend my gratitude to you in this insane time of our lives.
Quarantine life has distanced me from photography this year. I dream of the days it feels actively good, exciting, and possible again. I’m a photographer of people, and this pandemic has distanced us from our social livelihood as we knew it.
I spend most of my days in front of the sewing machine lately. It’s comforting and satisfying to be physically making and creating things with my eyes and hands, especially an essential item that proactively protects people. My masks are made from recycled & repurposed fabrics, mostly clothing, that would’ve otherwise ended up in a Goodwill, or worse, landfills. It’s my little token of appreciation to our environment, as the masks are both reusable and machine-washable. Hand wash these delicate lil beauties in hot water to stand the test of time. Hang to dry, iron (some fabrics) to reshape.
