TOUR DIARY: WHITE REAPER + TOGETHER PANGEA
I hopped on tour last week for a few dates with White Reaper (Louisville) and tourmates Together Pangea (Los Angeles). Everyone teamed up for night one starting in New Orleans, onward to Atlanta, and a day off had us ending up in Nashville a day early! Tagging along for only three shows is almost a cruel joke I play on myself, as the boys continue on for three more weeks of tour ahead of them. So to compensate and fill the void in my heart, I've posted full photo series from each show, including an abrasive set from our favorite young punks, JAWWS, in Nashville, and a lot of little friendship moments in between. Catch them where you can, and do yourself a favor and pet Tony's new hat. XO

IN THE STUDIO: JAWWS
I hung out in the studio with JAWWS a couple weeks back to hear what they've been cooking up the past few months. A beautiful mix of fast, loud, and heavy shredding. I'm so proud of everything these dudes are diving into. Keep your ears peeled to Infinity Cat for updates about upcoming releases as well as a few tour dates coming up, too. Tip of advice - don't stand still at one of their shows.
Don't miss out. Don't blink. Definitely don't turn your back on these dudes - they ain't slowin' down anytime soon.

:: JAWWS MUSICTOUR DIARY: DADDY ISSUES
I hopped on Daddy Issues' end-of-summer tour to kick off the month of August for a total whirlwind of a week
LOUISVILLE -> CINCINNATI -> INDIANAPOLIS -> CHICAGO -> ST LOUIS
five nights of trouble, greeting the sunrise each morning
Our first stop, Louisville, was a mess of trouble - cymbals breaking, cigarettes, saunas, and swimming pools, nearing arrest by the Louisville Police Department - where Jenna's boots are being held hostage as evidence, all with troublemakers THE TOMMYS, aka the White Reaper boys. Cincinnati filled us with tacos, beers, and a bill stacked with babe bands. We drowned ourselves in chili n' cheese, slept with the kitties, and woke to the freshest coffees. We held zero expectations for Indianapolis, until we found 20+ Nashville friends across the street at the HiFi, Andrew Combs and the Blank Range boys, ending with bonfires and a 3am pizza party. Come morning, we were Chicago bound, all inclusive with Chicago traffic, Chicago Music Exchange, and the Chicago Diner. A packed room and stacked bill of The Morons, Daddy Issues, Pink Torpedo, and Flesh Panthers at Cole's - the least divey-dive bar compared to Nashville dives (we hang out in trailers!). Late night slumber, early morning brunches, never enough time. I closed out my run of tour in St Louis, with the sweetest girls gifting Daddy Issues shirts, wigs, and boxes full of pastries. Homeward bound to Nashville by 1am, driving into the dawn, greeting sunrise once again.

Forecastle Festival photos in latest Fuzz Guide
Not that I've ever had a sour visit to Louisville, but I never expected to say I had one of the best weekends of my life in Louisville. This was my third year attending Forecastle, and could not have dreamed what would come along with it. Everything was heightened simply because so many dear friends were playing the fest. Jeff the Brotherhood on Friday, Twin Peaks on Saturday, (and one of my forever-favorites My Morning Jacket), and White Reaper, Diarrhea Planet, and King Tuff all on Sunday. Nonstop chaos, nonstop friends, nonstop fun. I'd repeat every second of this weekend and I hope you can live vicariously through this batch of photos - they're some of my favorite I've ever shot.
Keep your eyeballs peeled closely because half of the homies on stage are wearing Original Fuzz straps!
